Why you'll love this course

The first time Nicol Stolar-Peterson testified in court, she says, an opposing attorney "took me apart, limb by limb." She went back the next day, vowing to never let that happen again. She's now a leader in expert witness testimony, and in helping clinicians prepare for court -- and for those who would prefer not to be on the stand, helping them avoid it in the first place.

Course description

This workshop will cover setting clear boundaries related to therapist involvement in court proceedings via website language, informed consent, well-crafted policies, and clarifying one’s ideal client. Participants will learn to implement safeguards for clinical practice, including minimizing areas of potential legal and ethical risk. This workshop will shift how therapists get approached by attorneys, and how we respond to them.

1 Hour CE. Recorded video format (non-interactive).

This course was recorded from a live presentation at the 2019 Therapy Reimagined conference in Los Angeles. For information on past and future Therapy Reimagined events, visit therapyreimagined.com.
